The anger management course is offered online via videocal, which is ideal for busy professionals because it saves you time travelling there and back while remaining equally as effective as in-person sessions. Leona Sears drew on her expertise and passion for CBT, anger management, and domestic abuse to develop the course. She will ensure that you achieve your intended goals. On a broad level, the training equips you with skills that will come in handy in tough situations and facilitate the regulation of emotions that may lead to rage or domestic violence, resulting in healthy and peaceful contact with your children and the other parent with whom you co-parent. You will receive psychoeducation on domestic violence, which will include a definition, the most recent statistics on domestic abuse, and how it impacts victims and children. You will be given effective safeguarding techniques to reinforce the prevention your anger management issues and of domestic violence, so your children can benefit from your healthy parenting abilities. Your parenting will also be analysed and you will receive psychoeducation on what research indicates are optimal methods for parenting. Finally, you will apply all of the tools you gained to address Cafcass issues and the Family Court’s findings. Finally, all of information will be documented in a report, which you will check for factual accuracy before submitting it to the family court or Cafcass officer to demonstrate your attendance and course performance.

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF ANGER MANAGEMENT FOR PERPETRATORS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE?

Unlike courses delivered in groups, where you would have to share time and space with other participants or use the group as a hiding place, making the process much less effective, anger management sessions at Anger Therapy London are delivered one-on-one, giving you the luxury of having the time dedicated solely to you. As a result, most clients complete the session in 12 hours on average, those with a prior criminal background may require longer time. Clients who encounter challenges with the psychoeducational material containing jargon may choose to do additional sessions before they feel comfortable that they understood everything and gained the knowledge which is required by the relevant authorities.
